I have a pretty cool roommate, he snagged me a cronut the other day and it was yummy (he really just bought it as a bribe, he needed a haircut haha). I have to say, cronuts are good but they kinda have a flakey, chewy, stale texture goin on. I may catch some anger from the die hard cronutters but I have to be honest. Good but kinda stale-ish.
Hello, I'm Donna and while visiting in New York, I had to try the cronut and I thought the same thing!! except there was no flakiness going on :))
ReplyDeleteIt was difficult to cut through it with a knife!
The next day we microwaved the leftovers and it was much better, albeit spongy...
So for your readers my theory is that they must be eaten right out of the oven.. which I thought they would have been after I waited for almost 3hrs to get one!!
