Ouch! Oxfords NOOO!

I wore my beautiful Oxfords to a play where we had to walk around the financial district and find clues.  I knew my shoes were a little snug, but I decided to wear them anyway. What was I thinking!?!? I had to stop and buy flats so I could actually walk to dinner. My husband offered to carry me...I was wearing non stretch jeans so that wasn't happening.  Have you ever had leather shoes that were a bit snug and you were able to stretch them out? I actually have a shoe stretcher but that only seems to do so much.  I'm open to suggestions.

Decisions! Eeeeck!!

A black bag will always reign queen, but I can't help but love the grey one! I ordered the black but may very well need to send it back for the grey. Fingers crossed my Sam Edelman boots come today.  Last I checked they were in Brooklyn.  Can even take it. Which one would you choose, black or grey??

Big Buddha Marianne Bag

This is the perfect fall bag!  Can you tell fall has been on my mind? Apple pies, hiking and huge chunky sweaters....can even take it. This bag is a little bit rock and roll, ultra chic and roomie, but not overdone. Plus I like the little pendant.  Going to try and make it into a bracelet. Must have must have!

Sam Edelman Zoe Boots-A Prezzie For Me

Balenciaga had it right...Except for the pre depression price tag.  Sam Edelman has quickly stepped in to remedy that conundrum.
I actually wanted the Armitron watch, but unfortunately couldn't find it on Amazon.  I opted for this  snazzy time piece instead.  Can't wait for it to arrive!

Skinny Dream Jeans

Recently, I walked past the Astor Place GAP and saw their window display stating the new arrival of their skinny jeans!! The last time GAP had skinny jeans that I loved was literally 4 years ago.  I bought, I loved, I unfortunately traded with a friend for jeans she had...that I later ended up cutting, ruining and throwing away (shhh, don't tell).  My dear friend still wears those skinny jeans I traded her that impulsive day 4 years ago and I still think about them and fantasize about how fabulously they hugged my many curves. So, I marched my way into Manhattan the other day and was determined to reclaim my GAP skinny jeans....and NEVER let them go!  I ultimately decided on the classic 1969 forever skinny and shall cherish them, yes, forever. I swear this time.

Below are some fun ideas on what to pair your skinny jeans with.

The shirt is a Hane's men's v neck in medium and those ridiculously fierce (and may I add ridiculously comfortable) shoes are from the Shoe Market in Williamsburg.  The army jacket is from the LES Buffalo Exchange and was an absolute steal for $14.95.  Do you die, I die.

I love Nars lip gloss in Misbehave!  Snagged that gem at Sephora.

This faux leather jacket was attained after a trip to a NJ Loehmans. It had just come in literally that day and as soon as I saw it, it was understood I had to have it as my own. Sorry bank account...Sorry husband.

Fragrance Shop NYC

After reading an article about The Fragrance Shop on the LES I literally could hardly wait to get there!  Walking into the lovely little store I was greeted by the super nice mixologist Stephanie.  She went through all of the scents that I liked and we tested out different combinations ultimately settling on a fantastic blend that I later named Summer's Musk (they keep your custom scent recipe on a card with your name and all of the ingredients and you get to name it! So cute!).  See, I was first lured to The Fragrance Shop by the deceptively tiny price tag of $9, only to find the prices had just been raised a day earlier!  That was the only downfall of my whole experience, in addition to the $8 for the bottle there was an additional mixing fee of $10, $15 if you got the bigger bottle!  I was a bit stunned since we are basically in a depression and it seems a bit counter productive to raise prices.  Regardless, I am going to make my little bottle of Summer's Musk last me as long as possible and plan on refilling it as soon as it's empty. Yeah, it's that good.

Essie-Colors of The Season

I love nothing more than a fabulous manicure.  From a very, very young age I realized I had an obsession with nail maintenance and have practiced for years perfecting my manicuring skills.  I have all but eliminated the need for a professional manicurist and wholly rely on Essie nail colors to get me through my week feeling polished and perfect.
